Shiprock
[noun]
Although it is commonly called a "volcanic neck," Shiprock (located near the Four Corners of Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico) is a remnant of a single explosive volcanic eruption rather than a long-lived volcano. The magma involved in the eruption started more than 100 km below the Earth's surface, in the mantle.
