Mohorovicic Discontinuity

The boundary within the Earth between the crust and the mantle, as indicated by the refraction and velocity change of seismic waves recognized by Andrija Mohorovičić. The depth of the Mohorovicic Discontinuity is ~5-7 km below oceanic crust and ~10-70 km below continental crust.
