Hubble constant

[noun]

(H0) a numerical value of the expansion factor of the universe. In 1929, Hubble identified this value as 500 km/sec/Mpc (kilometers per second per megaparsec). Today, this value has been refined (as a result of extensive research) to range from 45-90 km/sec/Mpc.
